Montgomery County Police are now investigating a shooting in the 5700 block of Marinelli Road in North Bethesda as a homicide.
According to Montgomery County Department of Police, 2nd District officers were dispatched Thursday at approximately 11:37 am for the report of a shooting. Officers located an adult male suffering from serious injuries at the scene. In an update issued shortly afterward, police confirmed the victim has died and the case is now being investigated as a homicide.
No suspect information has been released at this time. A large police presence remains in the area, and drivers are being advised to seek alternate routes. Police say additional information will be released as it becomes available.
