Construction is nearing completion on Whip Clean’s upcoming Gaithersburg location, and the company now says it is aiming to open during the second or third week of June.
In a recent social media update, Whip Clean shared that “big things are happening” at the new car wash at the Festival at Muddy Branch Shopping Center and said crews are approaching the finish line on construction. The company described the facility as a “brand-new, high-tech, state-of-the-art carwash experience” for the Gaithersburg community.
In the comments section of the post, Whip Clean responded to a customer asking about timing and said its goal is to open “around the 2nd or 3rd week of June.” The company also teased an upcoming “Founders Club” membership promotion that will be limited to the first 333 members.
As previously reported by The MoCo Show in December, the 11,378 SF facility is being built on a vacant lot along Muddy Branch Road across from Lotte Market and next to Best Friends Pet Resort. The site sits within the Festival at Muddy Branch Shopping Center, home to businesses including Planet Fitness and Family Dollar.
Once complete, the location will feature a state-of-the-art wash tunnel along with an assembly-line-style finish bay featuring dual finish belts designed to move vehicles from wash to drying and detailing efficiently. Whip Clean has previously said the goal is to combine high-end equipment with a strong focus on customer experience and service.
Whip Clean first opened in Bowie in 2017 before that location was later sold to Flagship Carwash in 2023. Another Whip Clean location is also planned for Severn.
