The Takoma Park Police Department is distributing free steering wheel locks to all eligible Montgomery County residents to help prevent airbag thefts, while supplies last.
The steering wheel locks are available immediately Monday through Friday from 12pm to 4pm at the Takoma Park Police Department Administrative Services window, located on the first floor of 7500 Maple Avenue in Takoma Park.
All Montgomery County residents are eligible to receive a steering wheel lock, not just Takoma Park residents. Residents must bring proof of vehicle ownership or registration. For additional information, contact Sgt. Gregory Wolff at [email protected].
