Gaithersburg’s popular Summer Outdoor Concert Series is returning to the City Hall Concert Pavilion, bringing a full lineup of free, family-friendly performances throughout June and July.
According to the City of Gaithersburg, the series features both morning children’s shows and evening concerts, offering a mix of music, entertainment, and community gathering in Olde Towne. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or low-back chairs for lawn seating.
The Children’s Summer Concert Series will take place on Wednesdays from 10:30am to 11:15am, with performances including Rocknoceros on June 3, Groovy Nate on June 10, Mr. Jon & Friends on June 17, and The Great Zucchini on June 24. July’s lineup continues with Lilo Gonzalez, The Bubbas, Fastest Plane, Munit and Z Lovebugs, and Bridgette & Dawn through July 29.
Evenings in Olde Towne will be held on Thursdays from 6:30pm to 8pm, featuring a variety of genres. Performers include Boilersuit on June 4, Garrett Mabe on June 11, Black Passion on June 18, and Ocho de Bastos on June 25. July’s schedule includes Friends and Amigos, Kingpin, Joe Falero Band, Seth Kibel Band, and Magical Mystery Girls, a Beatles tribute band closing out the series on July 30.
Each evening concert will feature a rotating food truck, with attendees also welcome to bring takeout from local restaurants or dine in Olde Towne after the show. Parking in Olde Towne is free, with limited spaces available at City Hall, the Wells/Robertson House upper lot, and the garage at 112 Olde Towne Avenue, along with additional short-term parking options nearby. All concerts are weather-dependent and may be canceled due to unfavorable conditions.
