A new business, Crust & Crumb, will to be moving into the former Roy Rogers space on Rockville Pike, though details remain limited for now.
Roy Rogers at 718 Rockville Pike in Rockville permanently closed in December after operating at the location for many years. At the time of the closure, we reported that a commercial real estate listing from KLNB identified a business called “Crust & Crumb” as the future tenant for the property, though no information about the concept had been publicly announced.
Now, new city records show that the City of Rockville has issued a permit for Crust & Crumb to begin interior work at the former restaurant space, signaling forward movement on the project. It remains unclear exactly what type of business Crust & Crumble will be, though the name suggests a bakery or café concept. Additional details about the operator, menu, or opening timeline have not yet been released.
According to commercial real estate platform Crexi, “Crust and Crumb is the newest tenant at the Center and has a personal guarantee from a strong operator. There was fierce competition for this space amongst national tenants.” The new tenant will be located next to Hangry Joe’s.
