FBI Investigating Anti-Semitic Graffiti at Maryland Synagogue

The FBI and Montgomery County Police Department are seeking the public’s help in identifying the person or persons responsible for vandalizing the Shaare Tefila Synagogue in Olney.

Between the evening of February 9 and the morning of February 10, 2026, the synagogue’s main sign and two banners supporting Israel were defaced with anti-Semitic graffiti, including a swastika and the phrase “AZAB.”

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $4,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, or conviction of those responsible. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the FBI, their local law enforcement agency, or submit a tip online through the FBI.
