Viral cheesesteak concept 5th & Steaks is celebrating its first anniversary this week by giving away free cheesesteaks to some of its earliest customers.
According to the company, the first 25 people in line at each of its three Maryland food truck locations on Thursday, June 4, will receive a free cheesesteak. The promotion will take place at the following locations:
• 1140 N. Rolling Road, Lot A, Catonsville
• 7237 Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie
• 9035 Baltimore Avenue, College Park
The giveaway marks one year since the brand launched its first Maryland food truck and began building a loyal following through oversized cheesesteaks, loaded toppings, and viral social media videos.
The College Park location, which opened in March and can be delivered to various parts of Montgomery County, became the company’s third Maryland truck. It joined the original Catonsville location and a second truck in Glen Burnie as the concept continued its rapid expansion.
5th & Steaks traces its roots to South Philadelphia, where the family behind the business says they grew up immersed in the city’s cheesesteak culture. The owners have previously shared that their family operated several restaurants in Philadelphia, including one near the well-known 5th and South corridor, which inspired the concept’s name.
The company thanked customers for their support over the past year and encouraged fans to help spread the word about the anniversary celebration.
