MCPS Announces Several Leadership Appointments for 2026-27 School Year

The Montgomery County Board of Education approved several administrative appointments during its meeting on Thursday, June 4, filling leadership positions at schools across the county ahead of the 2026-27 school year.

Among the appointments is Jeffrey T. Brown, who will serve as Director of the Department of Professional Development. Brown currently serves as principal of Roberto Clemente Middle School.

Robert Sinclair Jr. has been named principal of the new Charles W. Woodward High School. Sinclair currently serves as a consulting principal with Montgomery County Public Schools.

Kristi McAleese has been appointed principal of Thomas W. Pyle Middle School. She currently serves as assistant principal at Earle B. Wood Middle School.

Kristinae M. Spurling will become principal of Cloverly Elementary School. She is currently a principal intern at Highland Elementary School.

Tracy L. Tibbs has been named principal of Clarksburg Elementary School. She currently serves as assistant principal at Fallsmead Elementary School.

Troy Todd has been appointed principal of Arcola Elementary School. He currently serves as principal of Hanover Hills Elementary School in Howard County.

Veneth C. Waters will become principal of Dr. Ronald E. McNair Elementary School. She currently serves as assistant principal at Stedwick Elementary School.
