A vehicle crashed into Seneca Creek Community Church on Firstfield Road in Gaithersburg around 10am Friday morning, causing significant structural damage to the building.
According to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) crews responded to the scene and found a vehicle had struck the church, leaving a large hole in the exterior wall and damaging multiple levels of the structure.
Two occupants of the vehicle were evaluated by EMS personnel and were reported to have non-life-threatening injuries.
MCFRS units including A708B, RS729, PE708, and BC703 responded to the incident. Firefighters remained on scene assessing the structural integrity of the building and ensuring the area was safe. The cause of the crash has not been released.
