Amazing Art Studio, the longtime Gaithersburg-based creative destination, is expanding to Silver Spring with the grand opening of its second location at White Oak Town Center.
The new studio, located at 12255 Prosperity Drive, Suite 107, will celebrate its opening with a three-day event from Friday, June 12 through Sunday, June 14. The weekend will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony, giveaways, family-friendly activities, refreshments, and the chance to win “Free Art for a Year.”
The grand opening begins Friday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Greater Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce from 12pm to 2pm. Brief remarks from ownership and invited guests are scheduled for 1pm. The event will include music, demonstrations, light refreshments, finger foods, and special treats.
Following the ceremony, the studio will transition into its signature Open Studio format, allowing visitors to explore the space and create their own projects throughout the weekend.

To mark the occasion, Amazing Art Studio has planned several special promotions and giveaways throughout the weekend. The first 20 customers each day will receive a commemorative goodie bag. Doorbusters begin at 2pm Friday following the ribbon-cutting ceremony and at 12pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
Customers will also receive a raffle ticket for every art piece purchased during the weekend. Prizes include five $50 gift cards, five $100 gift cards, two “Special Event Night for Two” packages, and a grand prize of Free Art for a Year, valued at more than $400.
Guests visiting on Saturday and Sunday can also enjoy complimentary popcorn and cupcakes while they create.
Founded in 2003, Amazing Art Studio describes itself as the largest DIY art studio in the Washington region. The woman-owned, family- and veteran-run business offers walk-in art experiences, private parties, corporate events, youth camps, and a variety of hands-on creative activities, including pottery painting, fused glass, mosaics, wood art, and more.
The new White Oak location marks the company’s first expansion since opening its original Gaithersburg studio more than two decades ago.
