Montgomery County Police and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded at 2:08 Monday to a fatal collision involving a vehicle and a person on a scooter near Veirs Mill Road and Gail Street in Wheaton.
Veirs Mill Road remains closed in both directions between Claridge Road and Connecticut Avenue as investigators work at the scene. Drivers are advised to avoid the area, use alternate routes, and expect significant delays.
