Fans Line Up Down The Block To Meet Maryland Native WWE Superstar LA Knight

Fans lined up down the block Sunday evening for a chance to meet Maryland native and WWE Superstar LA Knight during a special appearance at Oak, Barrel & Vine in White Oak.

The meet-and-greet, presented by Wheatley American Vodka and Alcohol Beverage Services Montgomery County, took place from 5pm to 7pm at 12259 Prosperity Drive. By the time the event got underway, a long line of fans stretched down the block as wrestling enthusiasts of all ages waited for the opportunity to meet one of WWE’s most popular stars.

Before becoming known worldwide as LA Knight, Shaun Ricker grew up in Hagerstown, Maryland. A member of North Hagerstown High School’s Class of 2000, Ricker participated in band and track while pursuing his dream of becoming a professional wrestler.

That dream eventually led him to WWE, where his charisma, catchphrases, and in-ring performances have helped make him one of the company’s most recognizable and fan-favorite superstars.

Sunday’s turnout demonstrated the strong local support for the Maryland native, with fans eager to meet Knight during his return to his home state. Among the most dedicated were Erin, Luann, Lou, and Sandra, who traveled from Baltimore County and arrived at 6am to secure their spot as the first fans in line for the event.
