New Honeygrow Location Expected To Open Later This Summer

Honeygrow is continuing to move forward with plans for its second Montgomery County location, and the restaurant is now expected to open later this summer in Silver Spring.

An employee at the company’s Rockville location recently shared with us that the new Silver Spring restaurant is targeting a late summer debut, though an exact opening date has not yet been finalized.

The Philadelphia-based fast-casual chain is taking over the former California Tortilla space at 10721 Columbia Pike in the Shoppes of Burnt Mills shopping center. Earlier this year, the project received a $350,000 permit for interior buildout, signaling that construction was moving ahead.

We first reported last October that property manager Regency Centers had listed honeygrow as the incoming tenant for the location. Since then, work has continued behind the scenes to prepare the space for opening.

Honeygrow first arrived in Montgomery County in 2018 with its Rockville Pike restaurant. The chain has built a loyal following with its customizable stir-fry bowls, salads, and signature honeybars, dessert bowls featuring fruit, honey, and yogurt or granola. The company emphasizes fresh ingredients and made-to-order meals in a fast-casual setting.
