Agora, a popular Mediterranean restaurant known for its Turkish, Greek, and Lebanese cuisine, has announced that its first Maryland location will officially open on Friday, July 10 in downtown Bethesda.
The restaurant will occupy the 6,500-square-foot space at the base of the Hyatt Regency Bethesda at One Metro Place, formerly home to Daily Grill. The opening marks Agora’s third location overall, following the debut of its flagship restaurant in Washington, D.C., in 2010 and a second location in Tysons Corner, Virginia, in 2019.
Agora specializes in Mediterranean small plates served tapas-style, encouraging guests to share and sample a variety of dishes. The menu features a wide selection of cold mezzes including hummus, baba ghanouj, labneh, and htipiti, as well as hot mezzes such as falafel, Ottoman rice, and imam bayildi. Guests can also choose from grilled meats and traditional specialties including lamb chops, kofte, grilled chicken, sis kebap, and Adana kebap.
In addition to lunch and dinner service, Agora is known for its weekend bottomless brunch, offered on Saturdays and Sundays. The brunch menu features an assortment of mezze and entrée selections paired with unlimited beverages.
