Reward of Up to $10,000 Offered in Search for Suspect in Damascus Shooting

Montgomery County Police are investigating a shooting that left an adult man injured Tuesday night at the Damascus Gardens apartment complex in the 9800 block of Bethesda Church Road.

Officers responded around 10:33 p.m. and learned the victim was leaving an apartment building with another person when an unidentified suspect fired a single shot, striking the victim in the leg.

The suspect fled before police arrived and remains unidentified. Detectives described the suspect as a man dressed entirely in black, wearing a black short-sleeved shirt, black pants and black slide sandals with white socks. He also had a bag or other covering over his head. The victim was transported to a local hospital.
