Picky Thrifter, a thrift and vintage retailer focused on curated fashion and unique finds, has announced plans to open a new location in Gaithersburg this fall.
The new store will be located at 9121 Gaither Road in Gaithersburg and will offer a selection of vintage clothing, secondhand fashion, accessories, new-with-tags merchandise, and one-of-a-kind pieces. According to the company, every item sold in the store is carefully hand-selected and reviewed before being placed on the sales floor.
Picky Thrifter says its mission is to provide the community with affordable, high-quality fashion while offering shoppers a more personalized thrift store experience. The store’s inventory is designed to blend vintage and contemporary styles, giving customers access to unique pieces that may not be found in traditional retail stores.
Beyond retail, the company hopes the new location will become a community gathering space. According to Picky Thrifter, the vision for the store extends beyond shopping and includes opportunities for customers to create, learn, and connect with others.
“We want Picky Thrifter to be more than just a store,” the company said in its announcement. “We want it to be a place where people can shop, create, learn, and be part of something different in the community.”
An exact opening date has not yet been announced, but the Gaithersburg location is expected to open in Fall 2026.
