K-Wave has announced that it will officially open its first Maryland location on Saturday, June 27, at 5534 Randolph Road in Rockville’s Montrose Shopping Center.
The K-Pop retailer had originally planned to open in May but delayed its grand opening while awaiting final county permits and approvals. Earlier this month, the company told customers the delay was beyond its control and that it would announce a new opening date once all required approvals were secured.
The nearly 3,000-square-foot store will be K-Wave’s second brick-and-mortar location, following the opening of its Centreville, Virginia store in late 2024. The Rockville location is expected to offer K-Pop merchandise, K-beauty products, stationery, exclusive items, claw machines, gachapon, DIY deco stations, and products created by local artists and K-Pop fans.
K-Wave has also announced a grand opening celebration featuring giveaways and special activities throughout the day. The store will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
