A new farmers market is in its soft opening phase in Potomac with a mission of bringing organic, chemical-free, and locally sourced products to the community.
Stoney Glen Market is located at the Potomac Oak Shopping Center (12944 Travilah Rd, Potomac, MD 20854) at the corner of Glen Road and Travilah Road. The open-air market is currently open every Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 2pm and operates from April through mid-December.
The market features a growing selection of local goods, including fresh produce, eggs, honey, bread, chocolate milk, strawberry milk, and a variety of beverages. Most of the fresh produce and eggs come directly from Massum Eyrie Farm in St. Mary’s County, which is owned by the Montgomery County family behind Stoney Glen Market.
Organizers say the market’s focus is on providing customers with fresh, organic, chemical-free products while supporting local agriculture and producers. A grand opening celebration is planned for next month, with additional vendors expected to join the market. Organizers are also looking to add more vendors ahead of the event and beyond.
