Bethesda-based Marriott International and The Coca-Cola Company have announced a new global partnership that will bring Coca-Cola’s beverage portfolio to Marriott hotels around the world.
Under the agreement, Coca-Cola becomes Marriott’s global beverage partner across several categories, including carbonated soft drinks as well as an expanding lineup of hydration and functional beverages. Guests will begin seeing Coca-Cola products in guestrooms, restaurants, lounges, and meetings and events spaces as the phased rollout begins immediately and continues over the coming months.
Marriott President and CEO Anthony Capuano said the partnership aligns two globally recognized brands with a shared focus on delivering quality and enhancing the guest experience. He added that the agreement is intended to provide guests and Marriott Bonvoy members with more of the beverage options they enjoy while creating value for hotel owners and franchise operators.
The Coca-Cola Company’s CEO Henrique Braun said the agreement will allow the company to offer travelers a broader selection of beverages throughout their stay, including sparkling drinks, juices, hydration beverages, and dairy products.
The partnership was developed in collaboration with Hot Shoppe Services International, Marriott’s global procurement organization, which will help manage the rollout across Marriott’s worldwide portfolio.
