$700K Permit Approved for Upcoming Wonder Location

Last month, a $700,000 building permit was approved for the construction of Wonder’s future Burtonsville location, marking another step forward in the company’s expansion across Montgomery County.

The new Wonder will be located at 15771 Old Columbia Pike in Burtonsville Crossing, between Haraz Coffee House and Eggspectation. The permit approval, previously reported by Maryland Newsletters, follows the June 4 opening of Wonder’s first Montgomery County location at 12240 Rockville Pike in Rockville.

The fast-growing food hall concept currently has four planned locations in the county, with additional restaurants in development in Germantown, and Gaithersburg. neighborhood. In Germantown, Wonder is set to open in the former Jos. A. Bank storefront at 20936 Frederick Road in Neelsville Village Center. In Gaithersburg, the company will occupy part of the former Party City space in the Kentlands shopping center, which is being redeveloped into multiple storefronts following the retailer’s closure.

Wonder combines dine-in, takeout, and delivery under one roof, allowing customers to order dishes from multiple restaurant brands in a single order. The concept features menus created in partnership with acclaimed chefs and well-known restaurant brands, giving customers access to a wide variety of cuisines from a single kitchen.

While a timeline for the Burtonsville opening has not yet been announced, Dave Golden of the Burtonsville 2.0 Facebook group recently shared coming soon signage in the windows of the space.
