Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) will host six regional Back-to-School Fairs on Saturday, Aug. 22, giving families an opportunity to prepare for the start of the 2026-2027 school year with resources, information, and support all in one place.
According to MCPS, the fairs will be held at six high schools across the county, with three taking place in the morning and three in the afternoon:
- Region 1: Albert Einstein High School, 9am to noon
- Region 2: Paint Branch High School, 9am to noon
- Region 3: Wheaton High School, 3pm to 6pm
- Region 4: Richard Montgomery High School, 1pm to 4pm
- Region 5: Gaithersburg High School, 9am to noon
- Region 6: Seneca Valley High School, 3pm to 6pm
The regional fairs are designed to help families get connected and ready for the first day of school. Each event will feature designated areas where families can receive assistance with student registration, technology support, school meal information, communication tools, school supplies, schedules, and opportunities to meet school staff and learn more about their school community.
Representatives from MCPS transportation, technology, special education, multilingual services, mental health, and other central offices will also be available to answer questions and provide assistance. Community organizations, government agencies, and after-school providers will share information about programs and services available throughout the school year.
In addition to informational resources, each fair will include family-friendly activities, giveaways, and other fun for attendees. Families can find their school’s assigned region here.
