Washington Gas will begin replacing the gas main on Carroll Avenue between Eastern Avenue and Columbia Avenue on Monday, July 27. The infrastructure improvement project is expected to take approximately two months to complete.
Construction will take place Monday through Friday from 9am to 3pm. During work hours, one lane of traffic will be closed, with flaggers on-site to safely direct vehicles through the construction zone.
Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to allow extra travel time or use alternate routes whenever possible. Officials thanked the public for its patience while the work is completed.
