Detectives with the Montgomery County Police Department’s Major Crimes Division are investigating an armed robbery at For Eyes Optical in the 9600 block of Lost Knife Road in Gaithersburg.
Police say that at approximately 2 p.m. on Monday, June 29, a man entered the store, selected merchandise and attempted to leave without paying. When an employee tried to stop him, the suspect displayed a knife before fleeing with the stolen items.
The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds, with dark hair and a beard. He is believed to be between 35 and 45 years old.
