Montgomery County police have confirmed that four businesses were burglarized during the early morning hours of Monday, July 20, along the 7800 and 7900 blocks of Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda.
On Monday, Lilit Cafe, located in the 7900 block of Old Georgetown Road, shared with us that it was one of three businesses whose windows were shattered during overnight break-ins. The cafe said property was stolen after suspects broke through a window.
In an update Tuesday, detectives with the Montgomery County Police Department’s 2nd District Investigative Section said the preliminary investigation determined that unknown suspects forced entry into four businesses, stole property and an undisclosed amount of money, and then fled the area.
Police said detectives are currently reviewing surveillance footage in an effort to identify the suspects. Additional information, including a description of the suspects, will be released as it becomes available.
