Montgomery County police arrested a 33-year-old Silver Spring woman after she allegedly fled from officers in a stolen vehicle before attempting to escape on foot.
Officers with the District Community Action Team located a red Honda Accord that had been reported stolen on July 10 while on patrol in Silver Spring.
According to police, the driver refused to stop when officers attempted a traffic stop, leading them on a pursuit before abandoning the vehicle and fleeing on foot. She was quickly taken into custody, and officers recovered suspected controlled dangerous substances and drug paraphernalia. The stolen vehicle was also recovered.
