Residents were displaced after an early morning house fire in Rockville on Monday.
According to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, crews were dispatched at 2:27 a.m. to the 300 block of Baltimore Road, where they found a fire on the side of a home. All occupants safely evacuated and were not injured.
The preliminary investigation indicates the fire originated from a faulty gas-fed fireplace. The home was left uninhabitable, displacing the occupants.
