Montgomery County Police are investigating a reported sexual assault that occurred late Wednesday night in Wheaton.
According to police, 4th District officers were dispatched at approximately 11:45 p.m. to the area of University Boulevard West and Amherst Avenue for a reported sexual assault. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said a suspect has been detained. No additional information has been released as the investigation remains ongoing.
