National Night Out Returns to Montgomery College Germantown Campus August 4

The Montgomery County Police Department’s 5th District will host its annual National Night Out celebration on Tuesday, August 4, from 5pm to 8pm at the Montgomery College Germantown Campus.

The free, family-friendly event is expected to draw approximately 1,500 attendees, continuing the strong turnout seen over the past two years.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that brings together residents, law enforcement, first responders, schools, and local organizations to strengthen neighborhood relationships, promote public safety, and foster safer, more connected communities.

Attendees can enjoy food from Roaming Rooster, Kona Ice, and Tom’s Traveling Coffee, along with local vendors, bounce houses, face painting, balloon artists, music, and activities for all ages.

Montgomery County Public Schools will also participate in the event. MCPS staff will be on hand to meet families, share school system resources, and celebrate alongside the community.

The event will be held rain or shine and is open to residents of Germantown, Clarksburg, and surrounding communities looking to connect with neighbors and local public safety partners in a fun, welcoming atmosphere.
