Woodmont Country Club has announced the appointment of Aaron Fox as its new director of racquets, bringing an accomplished racquets executive and nationally ranked tennis player to the prestigious private club in Rockville.
Fox will officially begin his new role on September 21, overseeing Woodmont’s racquet facilities and programming, including tennis, pickleball and other racquet sports. He will lead programming for players of all ages and skill levels while continuing the club’s tradition of hosting competitive events and fostering an active racquets community.
Most recently, Fox served as director of recreation at Brentwood Country Club in Los Angeles, where he managed racquet sports, fitness, aquatics, wellness and member programming. Prior to that, he was assistant director of tennis at The Riviera Country Club, one of the nation’s most historic private clubs.
Throughout his career, Fox has built a reputation for developing innovative programming, building high-performing teams and enhancing the overall member experience.
Woodmont’s racquets facilities include indoor and outdoor tennis courts, pickleball courts and a state-of-the-art indoor racquet sports center. The club has a long history of hosting championship events and welcoming some of the sport’s biggest names.
Fox holds professional certifications in tennis, padel, pickleball and platform tennis through multiple national organizations. He is also a frequent speaker at industry conferences, where he shares expertise on racquets operations, financial management, staff development and member engagement.
In addition to his leadership experience, Fox continues to compete at an elite level. Last fall, he won the U.S. National 30+ Mixed Doubles Hard Court Championship, earning the nation’s No. 1 mixed doubles ranking. He is also currently ranked No. 3 in the United States in men’s doubles.
Established in 1913, Woodmont Country Club is a private, member-owned club in Rockville offering championship golf, tennis, swimming, fitness, dining and year-round social activities.
