After more than a year of construction, the newly renovated Stedwick Pool in Montgomery Village is set to officially reopen to residents on Monday, Aug. 17, 2026, at 12pm.
The Montgomery Village Foundation (MVF) announced the reopening this week, marking the completion of a major renovation that has transformed one of the community’s most popular summer destinations into a modern, more accessible aquatic facility. The adjacent Stedwick Community Center is expected to open in September with the start of fall programming.
The upgraded heated pool now features eight 25-meter lap lanes, a 12-foot diving well, a hydrotherapy area, a sun shelf, ample shaded seating, an ADA-accessible entry ramp, and lighting that allows for expanded recreation and aquatic programming. MVF said the improvements were designed to create a more welcoming and accessible experience for residents while enhancing the community’s long-term recreational offerings.
The reopening will allow residents to enjoy the renovated facility during the final weeks of the 2026 outdoor pool season, including the extended swim season made possible by the pool’s heated design.
Construction on the project began in 2025 after the MVF Board of Directors approved the comprehensive renovation following months of planning, Recreation Committee review, and resident feedback. The project included a complete redesign of the pool, bathhouse, and improvements to the adjacent community center.
The renovation represents an investment of approximately $4.83 million, funded primarily through Designated User Reserves and Capital Contribution Fees, with Keller Brothers, Inc. serving as the project’s contractor. The investment is part of MVF’s ongoing effort to maintain and enhance Montgomery Village’s parks, pools, community centers, and recreational facilities.
