Montgomery County’s first Just Salad is coming soon to Towne Plaza in Rockville.
Leasing documents from KLNB confirm that the fast-casual restaurant will open at 12242 Rockville Pike, next to the recently opened Wonder. Just Salad will join a growing restaurant lineup at the shopping center that also includes Tatte and California Fish Grill.
Maryland Newsletters previously reported that Just Salad had pulled a building permit for a fitout at the location, with the permit now issued. The Rockville restaurant will continue Just Salad’s expansion across the DMV. The chain currently has three locations in Washington, D.C., with a fourth coming soon to Friendship Heights, just outside of Montgomery County.
Founded in 2006, Just Salad has grown to more than 100 locations across seven states. Despite its name, the menu extends beyond salads and includes grain bowls, wraps, soups, smoothies and other options, with a variety of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free choices.
The company focuses on healthy, affordable and climate-conscious meals and is also known for its reusable bowl program, which it describes as the largest restaurant reusable program of its kind. Just Salad has collaborated with several organizations and chefs over the years, including Sesame Workshop on a kids menu, Michelin-starred chef Amanda Cohen and chef Marc Forgione on specialty recipes.
An opening date for the Rockville location has not yet been announced.
