Montgomery County Police arrested two men after officers allegedly found each carrying a loaded handgun during a traffic stop in Glenmont earlier this month.
According to police, members of the 4th District Community Action Team conducted a traffic stop on the evening of August 5 in the 12400 block of Georgia Avenue.
During the stop, officers discovered that both the driver and passenger were armed. Police said each man had a loaded handgun tucked into his waistband.
Both men were arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. They were charged with illegal possession of a handgun.
Police did not release additional information about the circumstances surrounding the traffic stop or the identities of the two men.
