MCPS to Host Six Regional Back-to-School Fairs on Aug. 22

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) will host six regional Back-to-School Fairs on Saturday, Aug. 22, ahead of the start of the 2026-2027 school year.

According to MCPS, the fairs are designed to help families connect with their school communities, get questions answered and prepare for the upcoming school year. Families will have direct access to MCPS staff representing transportation, technology, special education, multilingual services, mental health and other central offices.

Each fair will serve families from several high school clusters throughout the county:

  • Albert Einstein High School, 9am-noon: Albert Einstein, Bethesda-Chevy Chase, Montgomery Blair, Northwood and Walt Whitman clusters
  • Paint Branch High School, 9am-noon: James Hubert Blake, Paint Branch, Sherwood and Springbrook clusters
  • Gaithersburg High School, 9am-noon: Gaithersburg, Col. Zadok Magruder, Quince Orchard and Watkins Mill clusters
  • Richard Montgomery High School, 1-4pm: Winston Churchill, Richard Montgomery, Rockville and Thomas S. Wootton clusters
  • Wheaton High School, 3-6pm: John F. Kennedy, Walter Johnson, Wheaton/Thomas Edison and Charles W. Woodward clusters
  • Seneca Valley High School, 3-6pm: Clarksburg, Damascus, Northwest, Poolesville and Seneca Valley clusters

The fairs come just days before students return to school for the 2026-2027 academic year.
