Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a building fire at Mi Rancho Restaurant in Silver Spring late Wednesday night that left three workers trapped on the roof.
Crews were dispatched to 8701 Ramsey Avenue at approximately 11:37 p.m. and found a fire on the roof. According to MCFRS, three contract workers were on the roof removing a pole that had fallen onto the restaurant earlier in the day.
The three workers declined transport to the hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but MCFRS said its origin appears to be associated with wires on the fallen pole.
Mi Rancho is closed until repairs are completed.
