The All In Summer Tour will return to Dogwood Park in Rockville on Sunday, August 30, for an evening of one-on-one basketball matchups. The free community event will take place from 5:30pm-8pm at the park’s basketball courts, located at 800 Monroe St.
The All In Summer Tour was created by Montgomery County resident Jonathan Mensah as a platform to showcase basketball talent from throughout the DMV. The event began at Dogwood Park before expanding to additional locations. Mensah said his broader goal is to “motivate the youth and bring positivity to the community.” The main event this year will feature Poolesville alumnus Collin Turner against Baltimore’s Greg Scarborough.
Turner scored 1,197 points during two seasons at Montgomery College. As a sophomore, he averaged 28 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game while shooting 42.4% from three-point range. He was named the NJCAA Division III Player of the Year and a First Team All-American before transferring to Alabama State University, where he averaged 17.4 points per game as a junior.
Scarborough is a combo guard and forward who previously played two seasons of college basketball in Westminster, Maryland. He later transferred to Stevenson University and competed for the school’s club basketball team. Scarborough then pursued opportunities to play professionally overseas.
Other participants scheduled to appear include Sidney Lebonzo, who played collegiately at Salisbury University and Russell Sage College and finished his career with 435 points. Lebonzo is currently seeking an opportunity to continue his basketball career professionally abroad.
DC Heat, a longtime basketball content creator whose YouTube channel features one-on-one games, basketball challenges and sneaker content, is also expected to participate. The channel has attracted more than 1.5 million subscribers. The full card of matchups can be seen below.
The tour returned to Dogwood Park last summer with a lineup featuring players with collegiate and professional experience, including former Montgomery College guard Cortez Whitney, overseas professional David Dickerson IV, former Division I player Byron Hawkins and one-on-one competitor Randy Cooper. The event is free and open to the public.
