Atelier Crêperie, a new French-inspired café specializing in handcrafted sweet crêpes and savory galettes, is coming soon to College Park Plaza in Frederick.
The café will open at 899 W 7th St, taking over the former Starbucks space. Starbucks relocated across the parking lot to the newly renovated standalone building at 915 W 7th St, formerly occupied by Bank of America.
Atelier Crêperie describes itself as an authentic French café experience featuring freshly prepared crêpes, artisan beverages, pastries, house-made desserts and European-inspired décor.
Sweet crêpe selections will include La Brûlée, made with vanilla pastry cream, caramelized sugar and fresh berries; La Normande, featuring caramelized apples, salted caramel, whipped cream and toasted almonds; and La Banane Chocolat, prepared with banana, dark chocolate ganache and toasted hazelnuts.
The savory menu will focus on traditional Breton galettes made with buckwheat flour. Options will include the Croque Madame, Océane with Scottish smoked salmon, Bœuf Braisé, Poulet Dijon, Florentine and Chèvre & Miel.
Additional offerings are expected to include French-inspired pastries, gelato, specialty coffee drinks, matcha beverages, artisan teas, house-made lemonades, wine, champagne and seasonal cocktails. A children’s menu with sweet and savory crêpes, drinks and gelato is also planned.
According to its website, Atelier Crêperie plans to operate from 9am until 5pm Tuesday through Sunday and will be closed on Mondays. An opening date has not yet been announced.
