Chicken Salad Chick will open its new Olney restaurant on Wednesday, September 23, at 10:30am at 18209 Olney Village Center Dr.
The restaurant is planning a week of giveaways to celebrate its grand opening, beginning with a promotion for the first 100 customers on opening day. Guests hoping to participate are encouraged to arrive early.
Chicken Salad Chick employees will begin assigning numbers at 8am based on each guest’s place in line. Participants must remain in line until the restaurant opens and download the Chicken Salad Chick app before arriving, as Wi-Fi will not be available at the restaurant.
Once the doors open, each participant must purchase an entrée with one side, or an item of greater value, and enter a promotional code in the app to officially secure their spot. Customers who leave the line will forfeit their place to the next person, and the promotion will not be available through the drive-thru.
Qualifying guests will receive their first free large Quick Chick electronically through the app on the Monday following the grand opening. Additional information about the restaurant’s weeklong giveaways has not yet been announced.
The fast-growing Southern-style restaurant is coming to Olney Village Center at 18209 Village Center Drive, next to Hallmark, in the space formerly occupied by a karate studio. The Olney restaurant will be operated by franchise owners Jim Schleckser and Carrie Tydings, both of whom have deep roots in the community. The pair has long been involved with private school and nonprofit boards, as well as youth athletics, and views the restaurant as another way to invest locally and give back to the community.
Chicken Salad Chick offers a variety of signature chicken salad flavors, along with soups, sandwiches, salads, and desserts. The owners have previously shared that the brand’s emphasis on hospitality, service, and community connection played a major role in their decision to bring the concept to Montgomery County.
