Rockville’s biennial community survey will begin arriving in select city mailboxes in late September, giving residents an opportunity to weigh in on quality of life, community amenities and local government services.
The 2026 survey, the city’s 12th, will be distributed to a random sample of 3,500 Rockville households over approximately three weeks. It is the second time the survey has been conducted since the pandemic.
Selected households will first receive a postcard notifying them that the survey will arrive approximately one week later. Residents will have the option to complete it by mail or online.
The online survey will be available in multiple languages, and translation assistance will be provided for residents who need additional help. All responses will remain anonymous.
City officials use the results to evaluate resident satisfaction and identify opportunities to improve services. Results from the 2024 survey are available on the city’s website, with the 2026 findings to be published once completed.
