The Montgomery County Department of Police arrested a 15-year-old after officers responded to a report of several people looking into vehicles in Gaithersburg.
Officers responded to the 17600 block of Town Crest Dr at approximately 1:06am on September 11. When police arrived, they observed four males exit two vehicles and run toward a wooded area.
Officers provided descriptions of the individuals to responding units and established a perimeter. One 15-year-old was located and taken into custody without incident. The three other individuals were not located.
Police recovered three stolen vehicles at the scene. The juvenile was arrested on allegations of motor vehicle theft and malicious destruction of property. MCPD recommended charges to the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services.
