Overnight closures of a portion of Christopher Avenue in Gaithersburg are scheduled to begin tonight, Monday, September 14, according to an update from the City of Gaithersburg.
Christopher Avenue will be closed between MD-355 and Russell Avenue from 9pm until 6am each night, with closures scheduled for Monday, September 14, through Wednesday, September 16.
The closures are related to crane work being performed by Costco and were initially scheduled for August 31 through September 2. The affected section provides access to Costco and other businesses in the surrounding shopping area. Drivers traveling through the area overnight should allow additional time and use alternate routes as needed.
