Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service responded to the Fenestra Apartments at 37 Maryland Avenue in Rockville on Tuesday for a reported dryer fire.
According to MCFRS, firefighters responded to the six-story residential building for a dryer and its contents on fire on the second floor. The fire was extinguished, with some smoke reported in the building. The sprinkler system did not activate, and no injuries were reported.
East Middle Lane was closed between Maryland Avenue and Rockville Pike during the fire rescue response. Montgomery County Police advised drivers to expect significant delays and seek an alternate route.
