Winter Lights Festival Tickets Go on Sale October 15

The City of Gaithersburg’s Winter Lights Festival will return to Seneca Creek State Park for its 31st season, running nightly from November 27 through December 31.

The annual holiday tradition features a 3.5-mile drive through the park with more than 450 illuminated displays and trees decorated with holiday lights. The festival will be closed on December 25. Seneca Creek State Park is located at 11950 Clopper Rd in Gaithersburg.

Advance ticket purchases are required for all Winter Lights events, with tickets scheduled to go on sale Thursday, October 15 at 10am. Tickets are date-specific, and daily quantities will be limited. Admission is priced per vehicle at $15 Monday through Thursday and $25 Friday through Sunday. Admission for vehicles carrying 15 or more passengers is $35.

Ticket exchanges can be made in advance based on availability. Weekday tickets may be transferred to another weekday, while weekend tickets can be transferred to any available date. Price differences are non-refundable. Winter Lights operates rain or shine, though visitors are encouraged to check for updates from the City if snow or ice is in the forecast.

The festival will also offer Enchanted Evenings, special themed experiences held before Winter Lights opens to vehicle traffic. Tickets for Enchanted Evenings must be purchased online in advance, with no onsite ticket sales available.
