Metro Urgent Dental, a new dental practice focused on same-day and walk-in care, will open Friday, October 16 at 923 Bonifant St in Downtown Silver Spring.
The practice will be open seven days a week, including late evening hours, with a focus on providing care for patients experiencing dental pain and emergencies. “Dental emergencies don’t wait for regular office hours, and neither do we,” the practice states. “Metro Urgent Dental offers same-day, walk-in care in Silver Spring so you can get the relief you need, right when you need it.”
Services will include emergency treatment, extractions, dental implants, oral exams, root canals, crowns, fillings, dentures and restorative dentistry. In addition to urgent dental needs, the practice will provide routine and family dental care.
Metro Urgent Dental is led by Sricharan Mahavadi, DDS, who has eight years of experience in dentistry and has spent the past five years as a practice owner. Mahavadi earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Shepherd University before attending the West Virginia University School of Dentistry.
Mahavadi said his approach to dentistry was shaped by his experiences with family and community after immigrating to the United States with his family when he was three years old. He now calls Maryland home.
“What first drew me to dentistry was understanding how closely oral health is connected to a person’s overall quality of life,” Mahavadi said. “There is something incredibly rewarding about helping someone get out of pain, regain the ability to eat comfortably, or smile without hesitation.”
