Rock Creek Foundation is inviting the community to lace up for its 5K Community Walk for Wellness & Inclusion on Saturday, November 7, at Rock Creek Regional Park. The event begins at 9 a.m. and will bring runners, walkers, families, and community members together for a morning of movement for a meaningful cause.
One hundred percent of the proceeds will support holiday gifts and meals for people with disabilities and mental health challenges in the community. Participants can take part at their own pace, whether they’re experienced runners, casual walkers, or joining to support the cause.
For more than 50 years, Rock Creek Foundation has supported individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health challenges.
Registration is $30 through October 15 and $35 after that. Event T-shirts are guaranteed for participants who register before October 28.
