Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) students will have a four-day weekend coming up at the beginning of November, with no school on Monday, November 2 or Tuesday, November 3.
Monday, November 2 is designated as a Grading and Planning for the End of Term day. Students will not have school, while staff will use the day for grading and planning. The following day, Tuesday, November 3, is Election Day. MCPS schools and offices will be closed.
Combined with the weekend of Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1, students will have four consecutive days away from school before returning on Wednesday, November 4.
The November break is one of several schedule changes for MCPS families in the coming weeks. Later in the month, students will have three consecutive early release days on Monday, November 23, Tuesday, November 24, and Wednesday, November 25. Schools and offices will then be closed Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
