Maryland’s No. 1 Home Health Agency is Based in Montgomery County

Silver Spring-based Adventist HealthCare Home Care Services has been named the top home health agency in Maryland as part of Newsweek’s America’s Best Home Health Agencies 2027 rankings.

The rankings, released October 21 in partnership with Statista, recognize 375 home health agencies across the United States. Adventist HealthCare Home Care Services earned the highest ranking among Maryland agencies included on the list.

The rankings were determined using four primary areas: quality metrics published by the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), recommendations collected through a national survey of healthcare professionals and home health agency administrators, patient experience data from CMS Home Health Care CAHPS surveys, and accreditation data.

Accreditation information was provided by The Joint Commission, Accreditation Commission for Health Care and Community Health Accreditation Partner.

Based at 12041 Bournefield Way near White Oak Medical Center, Adventist HealthCare Home Care Services has served patients since 1973, providing care designed to help patients remain in their homes while receiving medical and supportive services.

“We are thrilled to be recognized as one of America’s best home health agencies and the top agency in Maryland,” said Marya Sabalbaro, Vice President, Home Care Services & Business Processes. “What makes Adventist HealthCare Home Care Services stand out is our team’s dedication to providing the highest-quality, personalized care while helping people stay in their homes.”

“Every day, they choose to serve others with compassion and dignity. We are grateful for the trust patients and families place in us,” Sabalbaro said.
