Arby’s is targeting is expected to open its new restaurant at 7200 Muncaster Mill Road in Derwood next month, marking the chain’s return to Montgomery County.
A representative confirmed to The MoCo Show that the restaurant is working toward the December 7 opening, although the date remains subject to change. “We’re thrilled to bring this Arby’s of the Future to serve Rockville and Montgomery County.”
Arby’s is taking over the former McDonald’s space at Red Mill Shops, which closed permanently on March 15 after serving the community for decades. The new location will also feature a breakfast menu in addition to Arby’s regular menu offerings.
The building, constructed in 1985, previously housed Roy Rogers and Hardee’s before becoming a McDonald’s.
