NBC4 Washington’s News4 Today team is bringing its morning show to Montgomery County next week as part of its ongoing “4 on Tour” series, with a live broadcast scheduled for Friday, November 13, at Cava Mezze in Olney.
The event is open to the public, with doors opening at 5:30 am. Residents are invited to stop by, meet members of the News4 Today team, take photos, and potentially appear on television during the morning broadcast.
“4 on Tour” is a recurring NBC4 series that takes the station’s morning broadcast out of its Washington, D.C. studio and into communities throughout Maryland, Virginia, and D.C. The visits highlight local businesses, restaurants, community members, and neighborhood traditions while giving viewers an opportunity to interact with the anchors and reporters.
NBC4’s Melissa Mollet shared the announcement, encouraging Olney residents to set their alarms and join the team for an early morning of live television, selfies, and entertainment. “We’re taking the show on the road for 4 ON TOUR and bringing the laughs, the energy, the selfies, and maybe a little morning TV chaos to OLNEY!” Mollet wrote.
She also teased a possible polar plunge in the restaurant’s parking lot in connection with Special Olympics Maryland, although additional details have not yet been announced.
