The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) has released additional information regarding a fatal crash in North Bethesda where a 22-year-old motorcyclist died after being struck by a minivan on Rockville Pike near Tuckerman Lane.
Per MCPD: “On Monday, October 12, 2024, at approximately 7:21 p.m., the driver of a black Toyota Sienna minivan was traveling southbound on Rockville Pike, making a left turn on Tuckerman Lane when the car struck Baeley Aubrey Thackston, of Rockville, driving a Yamaha MT07 motorcycle, who was traveling northbound on Rockville Pike approaching Tuckerman Lane. The driver of the Toyota remained at the location and was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Montgomery County Police and Fire Rescue were dispatched to the intersection. Thackston was pronounced dead at the scene, despite attempted life-saving efforts.
