Image of Stabbing Suspect Released

Last night, the Rockville City Police Department (RCPD) and Metro Transit Police responded to two separate stabbings near the Twinbrook Metro station, with both victims suffering non-life-threatening injuries

Per RCPD: “The Rockville City Police Department has been able to obtain a still image of the suspect wanted in connection to two stabbings that occurred on October 13, 2024 shortly after 5:30 p.m. Criminal investigators are still checking with local businesses for surveillance footage and/or still images of the suspect.

If anyone was in the area of the Twinbrook Metro station or in the area of the 1500 block of Rockville Pike last evening and recalls seeing anyone matching this description, they are asked to contact RCPD criminal investigators at 240-314-8900 or at [email protected]  with information. Callers may elect to remain anonymous. The RCPD is taking this matter very seriously and has reached out to our federal law enforcement partners for assistance. This remains an active and ongoing investigation between the RCPD and Metro Transit Police.”

Pervious update: Shortly before 5:30 p.m. this evening, the RCPD responded to the Twinbrook Metro station for a stabbing. The adult, male victim had been approached by an unknown suspect and was stabbed. Metro Transit Police responded and are handling that investigation. A few minutes later, the RCPD responded to a separate call for a stabbing in the 1500 block of Rockville Pike, near the metro station. An additional adult, male victim was found to have been stabbed in the back. Both victims have been transported to area hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect is described as an African American male wearing all Black clothing and remains at large.
